The world’s biggest band, One Direction,  announced their worldwide concert dates, which includes South Africa for an incredible 3-date stadium tour.


 


The following South African tour dates are:


 


Johannesburg: Saturday 28th March 2015 at FNB Stadium


Johannesburg: Sunday 29th March 2015 at FNB Stadium


Cape Town: Wednesday 1st April 2015 at Cape Town Stadium

Please note the following ticketing polices: all fans attending the concerts that are younger than 14 years must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. There is also an age restriction on field standing tickets (Golden Circle East/West and General Admission East/West) – no one under 13 years and shorter than 1.2 metres will be permitted onto the field. 


 


Last year One Direction released their record-breaking third album ‘Midnight Memories’, which saw them named as the IFPI’s Global Artist of 2013 for becoming the biggest selling act in the world. They also became the first ever band to have their first three albums debut at No.1 in the US Billboard Chart, hitting the top spot in a further 30 countries worldwide. The band – Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn – have just completed the first leg of their massive, sell-out ‘Where We Are’ stadium tour, which saw the boys visit South America for the very first time to an overwhelming reception. The UK and Ireland leg kicks off at Dublin’s Croke Park on 23rd May, before moving to Europe and the USA throughout the rest of 2014.

Donavon Frankenreiter has built a very loyal SA fanbase through the surf and indie music scene. As an American musician and surfer, and long-time friend of Jack Johnson, his debut self-titled album was released in 2004 on Johnson’s Brushfire Records through Universal Music. He released his 5th Studio album Start Livin’ in 2012 and SA fans will be looking forward to hearing him perform songs such as 


“It Don’t Matter“, “Free“, “You“ and“Shadows“.

KT TUNSTALL KT TUNSTALL


KT Tunstall is no stranger to SA Music fans and has had countless hits on radio with singles such as “Suddenly I See“, “Other Side of the World“, “Black Horse & The Cherry Tree“, “Hold On” and “Saving My Face“. She’s released four albums, achieved 4 million sales, was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2005, won one Ivor Novello and one Brit Award. She’s best known for her incredible live performance and brings it to SA in March for PARKLIFE.

FRANK TURNER FRANK TURNER


Frank Turner fans in SA have been bursting with excitement after news of him finally coming to SA spread on Social Media last week. Those who have followed Turner’s career since he went solo in 2005, won’t be surprised that the recurring theme throughout Tape Deck Heart, Frank Turner’s fifth album, is change…  After 1,400 incendiary live shows and four acclaimed albums, last year saw the musician previously known as a punk poet become (whisper it) a sort of pop star. From a fake Glastonbury Tor, Turner performed at the Olympics Opening Ceremony. He headlined Wembley Arena. He sold more than 100,000 copies of his fourth album, England Keep My Bones, which entered the UK charts at No 12 on its release in 2011.
